Three sensitively restored stone cottages set in the grounds of our 18th Century Charentaise farmhouse, each having their own private garden offering security for little one’s and achieved using only natural materials.
Whilst each cottage offers private accommodation, Le Four du Boulanger & Les Ecuries together is an ideal choice for families holidaying together, as the private gardens can be interconnected via a little ‘portail’ garden gate.
Guests are welcome to stroll the extensive grounds of organic fruit & vegetable ‘parterres’ - feel free to ‘forage’! There’s also hens, ducks and rare breed ‘Ouessant’ sheep to feed, a wild-life pond, a pétanque court, table tennis and a beautiful 12 x 4 metre salt water pool.
Surrounded by beautiful french countryside, we have set out to create an authentic environment enabling you to appreciate the simple pleasures of rural life here. Many of our guests feel so relaxed and in tune with the semi-self sufficient lifestyle we have chosen, that they offer to join in and give a helping hand shelling walnuts, deadheading flowers… This is the place where books are devoured - even novels written- babies first steps are taken, toddlers learn to swim, ride bikes and fossils are found, potatoes dug…

Situated at the far end of a Charentaise longhouse and barn, you’ll find the former milking parlour, ‘La Laiterie’, which now offers spacious ground floor accommodation for four.
